I. Reports
A. Department employees receiving information concerning criminal felony or
misdemeanor complaints, requests for police service and notifications or
other police incidents will write a report pursuant to the FDLE guidance.

B. Department employees will complete reports/forms using approved and
authorized Department forms.

C. Department employees will thoroughly and accurately complete each
required section of each Department report.

D. Department employees will follow established procedures while
completing Department reports.

E. Department employees will process, complete and submit all required
reports prior to the end of their tour of duty absent exigent circumstances.
Should exigent circumstances exist, the employee’s immediate supervisor
will complete the report.

F. When issuing a Uniform Traffic Citation, Uniform Boating Citation or
Parking Citation officers will list, on the face of the citation, the
related Police Case Number thus allowing a cross reference to any
BWC and/or related reports such as A forms, tows or case reports.
G. Supervisors will review and approve each submitted report. No report will
stay in queue pending approval. All supervisors are responsible for
checking submitted reports and reviewing those reports regardless of the
employee’s assignment.

H. A supervisor is prohibited from approving any OIR, arrest report or
Response to Resistance form/report in which they were directly involved in
the initiating incident. In such circumstances the next highest ranking
supervisor will approve the OIR, arrest report or Response to Resistance
form/report.
