GENERAL ORDER GO #19-04 TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT CALEA Standard(s): 61.1.5h PURPOSE: To modify Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) # 127, Traffic Enforcement, through the inclusion of K 3 in section X., Traffic Crashes - Duties and Responsibilities. SCOPE: This General Order (GO) applies to all Department employees. POLICY: It is the policy of the Department to provide emergency assistance to persons injured in crashes, to protect the crash scene, to conduct at scene and follow-up investigations, to take proper enforcement action and to educate the general public on traffic safety. PROCEDURE: K. Follow-up Investigation 3. AIU will respond to, or be called in to respond to, all hit and run traffic crashes in which any person is transported to a medical facility as a result of the hit and run traffic crash.
