DEFINITIONS:
FIREARMS - Any firearm which will, is designed to, or may readily be converted to expel
a projectile by the action of an explosive.
LESS LETHAL WEAPON - A Department approved and authorized weapon that is not
fundamentally designed to cause death or great bodily harm. Department approved and
authorized less-lethal weapons include the beanbag shotgun, CEW, ADS, Expandable
Baton, K-9, Pepper Ball Gun and 40 mm Launcher.
