I. POLICY
It is the policy of the Lighthouse Point Police
Department to continuously strive to utilize
the latest technologies for crime prevention
and the apprehension of criminals. The LPR
Camera System is an example of the
technology utilized by the Lighthouse Point
Police Department to combat crime. The
LPR system will provide police with
immediate alerts when vehicles with known
affiliations to certain types of crimes, such as
stolen vehicles and tags, sexual predators

and offenders, wanted felons, gang
members, and National terror watch list
suspects enter the City.
Data generated by LPR shall be used only for
criminal justice purposes. All LPR data will
be safeguarded in accordance with FSS
316.0777.
