I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to provide
guidance and procedures for the
transportation of prisoners. Officers are
frequently required to transport arrestees to
either holding cells at the Department, the
county jail, or a medical facility. It is the
responsibility of the Department to provide for
the safety and security of the arrestee, the
transporting officer and the community.
