I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to establish
guidelines for the utilization of patrol rifles for
sworn members of the Lighthouse Point
Police Department. This policy establishes
the minimum rifle requirements including
caliber, manufacturers and models
authorized. This policy also establishes
minimum training and qualification
requirements and guidelines for
maintenance, storage and appropriate
deployment.
