During the following weeks, you will be instructed and tested on what you must know to be a competent Sheriff’s Detention Deputy. Each day, you will be evaluated by a Detentions Training Officer (DTO) on how well you perform the basic job tasks. The Detentions Training Program spans a six-week period.
