The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has adopted this policy to ensure compliance with applicable laws protecting privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties. This policy outlines the use, analysis, retention, destruction, sharing and disclosure of protected information received and stored within and/or by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. POLICY The policy of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office is to utilize Flock Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology in the fulfillment of law enforcement efforts and public safety goals while recognizing the established privacy rights of the public.
