KERN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE Detentions Bureau Policies and Procedures TITLE: TRANSFERS OF INCARCERATED PERSONS MEDICAL INFORMATION H-1000 EFFECTIVE: REVIEWED: REVISED: UPDATED: September 9, 1996 07-11-24 01-27-03 07-11-24 APPROVED BY: Detentions Bureau Chief Deputy Cindy Cisneros REFERENCE: Title 15, Section 1206, C.C.R.; H&S Code Sections 131361 and 121362 POLICY Any incarcerated person transferred from the Kern County Jail system to another correctional facility, medical facility, or mental health facility, will be accompanied by a summary of pertinent medical information. Incarcerated persons without pertinent medical information will be accompanied by a form indicating the lack of such information. Staff responsible for preparing the paperwork necessary for the transfer of an incarcerated person to the custody of another facility will notify the appropriate Medical Staff of the impending transfer.
