Kern County Sheriff’s Office Policies and Procedures TITLE: MISSING PERSONS-REPORTING NO: H 0800 - Missing Persons.doc APPROVED: Donny Youngblood, Sheriff-Coroner EFFECTIVE: May 25, 1992 REVIEWED: 02/06/2023 REVISED: 02/06/2023 UPDATED: 02/06/2023 H 0800 - Missing Persons.doc-1 POLICY Deputy Sheriffs, Dispatchers, Sheriff’s Report Technicians, Sheriff’s Aides, Community Services Technicians and all other Sheriff’s personnel who have reporting responsibilities shall accept any missing person’s report, including any telephonic report of missing persons, including runaways, without delay and shall give priority to the handling of these reports over the handling of reports relating to property crimes.
