KERN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE Detentions Bureau Policies and Procedures TITLE: LANGUAGE LINE SERVICES G-1210 EFFECTIVE: REVIEWED: REVISED: UPDATED: October 20, 1999 07-11-24 03-02-23 07-11-24 APPROVED BY: Detentions Bureau Chief Deputy Cindy Cisneros REFERENCE: P.C. 851.5, Title 15 Section 1067, C.C.R; DBPPM G-1200 POLICY Pursuant to Kern County Sheriff’s Department Detention Bureau Policies and Procedures Section G-100 Language Line Services shall be made available to all non-English speaking incarcerated people committed to the care and custody of the Sheriff of Kern County. Directive #1: The Administrative Sergeant of each Detention Facility will update all materials with our organization name, client identification number and personal codes. The quick reference guide will be available near all designated telephones. Procedure A: Outbound Calls The Housing Deputy will: • Identify the language needed by using the language identification card (G-1210 Attachment A).
