As such, the Kern County Sheriff's Office endeavors to hold its employees, sworn and non-sworn, to the highest standards of the police profession. An essential element of maintaining these standards and ideals is the imposition of discipline when an employee’s conduct falls short of the standards established by the Sheriff’s Office.
