The Sheriff’s Office recognizes that in order to maintain public trust, it must diligently investigate all citizen complaints to establish the facts surrounding the given incident, enabling the protection of the Sheriff’s Office and employee to the extent possible, as well as the community we serve. All investigations involving misconduct will follow accepted investigative standards, the Peace Officers Procedural Bill of Rights (Government Code 3300 et. seq.) as applicable, and current statutory and case law.
