In the event a minor’s death occurs, the circumstance and conditions surrounding the death shall be investigated and then referred to the Coroner’s Office per Government Code 27491. PROCEDURE A:  In addition to the notifications required in DBPPM Section C-900, staff will also notify:  The on-duty supervisor  The Area Substations Section Lieutenant  The Shift Supervisor of the facility where the inmate is housed.
