The policy dictates that all incidents involving the use of deadly force or any discharge of a firearm by a member of this department will be investigated. Unless the incident falls under the Range responsibilities the Investigations Division will be responsible for the investigation of the incident. In addition to Officer Involved Shootings, unintentional discharge incidents will be investigated on a case-by-case basis to be determined by the Investigations Division Commander or designee.
