PROCEDURE A In addition to the notifications required in Detention Bureau Policy and Procedures Manual Section C-900, staff will also notify:  Substation Sergeant, or in his/her absence, the on-duty supervisor.  Area Substation Section Lieutenant.  Shift Supervisor of the facility where the inmate is housed. The Substation Sergeant or on-duty supervisor will:  Respond to the scene.  Initiate an investigation with the Detective Division, Homicide Protocol, if necessary.
