POLICY
In keeping with its mission to protect the community and pursuant to Penal Code
646.92, it is the policy of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office to notify any person the court
identifies as a victim of the offense, a family member of the victim or a witness to the
offense upon request when an incarcerated person is to be released or escapes.
All information relating to any person who receives notice under this section shall
remain confidential and shall not be made available to the person convicted of violating
this section.
