In most cases it is the first and possibly the only contact the public will have with this office. It is the mission of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Communications Section to provide quality public safety communications service. There shall be no variation from the policies or procedures outlined in this manual except in an emergency with prior approval of the Communications Section Manager, Division Commander, Sheriff, or Dispatch Supervisor, to the extent required by the situation.
