S. R. 1101.00; KCPPM Chapter 1 POLICY Vacation and Compensatory Time Off (CTO) are benefits established for all full time county employees. These benefits are negotiated for Detentions Deputies and Deputy Sheriffs by their appropriate bargaining units (KCDOA and KLEA respectively). County Ordinance and Policies also regulate the use of vacation leave, compensatory time off, and sick leave. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office will adhere to the applicable County Ordinances and policies and will honor each Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U.).
