ISSUE: 25-68 TRAINING BULLETIN DATE: October 29, 2025 2025 Fourth Quarter Bias-Free Policing Training: Loggervale et al v. County of Alameda et al As good practice and for the Fourth Quarter of 2025, personnel are required to review the body-worn camera footage of an Alameda County Deputy Steven Holland’s contact with Aasylei Loggervale and her two daughters, a short new clip discussing the outcome of the federal lawsuit filed in relation to the law enforcement contact, KCSOPPM J-2300, and complete a 10-question quiz. The first video depicts the law enforcement contact between Deputy Holland and the Loggervales. In summary, Deputy Holland contacts Ms. Loggervale and her two daughters seated in a vehicle outside of a local Starbucks where recent vehicle burglaries had occurred. Deputy Holland proceeds to ask for the driver’s identification without any other apparent articulable facts that tend to show that anything criminal was occurring.
