Policy Update – KCSOPPM K-0200: General Appearance On August 20, 2025, a review of KCSOPPM K-0200 – General Appearance was completed, and changes were made which are outlined below. Policy Update Highlight Key Updates Revisions were made in the “Female Personnel” section to ensure professional appearance while addressing operational safety, uniformity, and consistency with contemporary standards. Summary of Standards Male Personnel: · Hair: Neat, not below collar, tapered, and no unusual styles. · Facial Hair: · Sworn Staff: Clean-shaven and sideburns/mustaches permitted with limits. · Non-sworn Staff: Beards allowed if trimmed and mustaches/goatees are regulated.
