Assembly Bills 2822 and 2907 – KCSOPPM H-0500 Update
In response to Assembly Bills 2822 and 2907, which were effective January 1, 2025, the following
changes (in bold below) have been added to KCSOPPM H-0500:
Identify in the report whether or not weapons were involved, present at the location, and, if there
is an inquiry, whether that inquiry disclosed the presence of a firearm or other deadly weapon.
A firearm or other deadly weapon located shall be confiscated (PC 13730(c)(3)).
Identify in the report whether a firearm or other deadly weapon was removed (PC
13730(c)(5)).
Pursuant to PC 273.76, peace officers responding to a domestic violence incident are
