KCSOPPM M-500: Field Training Program Revision The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Policy and Procedures Manual (KCSOPPM) M-500: Field Training Program has been revised effective February 6, 2025. A few key points that have been updated: “Procedure B” now outlines the process for personnel who have been promoted to the rank of Senior Deputy and have failed to maintain their Field Training Status. Those affected personnel would be required to undergo an evaluation period of at least two weeks to ensure they can still competently perform the duties of a patrol deputy before taking their operations assignment as a Senior Deputy. “Directive A” now outlines the process for personnel who initially failed the Field Training Program to
