TRAINING BULLETIN ISSUE: 24-46 DATE: December 13, 2024 Hate Crimes Policy: KCSO DPPM H-2300 In order to comply with California State Law, KCSO DPPM H-2300 – Hate Crimes has been created and is effective December 12, 2024. All sworn personnel are required to review and familiarize themselves with the policy to maintain compliance. Per KCSOPPM H-2300, “It is the policy of the Sheriff’s Office to safeguard the rights of all individuals irrespective of their disability, gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and/or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. Any acts or threats of violence, property damage, harassment, intimidation, or other crimes motivated by hate or bias should be viewed very seriously and given high priority. The Sheriff’s Office will employ reasonably available resources and vigorous law enforcement action to identify and arrest hate crime perpetrators.
