TRAINING BULLETIN ISSU E: 24-45 DATE: December 5, 2024 RACIAL AND IDENTITY PROFILING ACT (RIPA) REVIEW AND TEST On October 3, 2015, Assembly Bill 953 enacted the Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) of 2015 requiring law enforcement agencies to track and submit all stop data. Per paragraph 180 of the Stipulated Judgment, periodic testing is required to ensure that employees are appropriately comprehending, retaining, and applying the knowledge and skills conveyed in all training. For the fourth quarter of 2024, you are required to review Kern County Sheriff’s Office Policy and Procedures Manual (KCSOPPM) J-2300, KCSOPPM J-2350, and a PowerPoint presentation regarding RIPA reporting procedure. Following your review of the policies and presentation, there will be a test you must score 100% on to pass.
