DEA Public Safety Alert:
DEA Reports Widespread Threat of Fentanyl Mixed with Xylazine
On March 20, 2023, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued a Public Safety
Alert regarding the widespread threat of Fentanyl mixed with Xylazine. The purpose of
the alert is to provide a warning of a sharp increase in the trafficking of fentanyl mixed
with Xyaline, also known as “Tranq”.
