Inmate Phones: New Attorney Admonishment Change
Securus Technologies and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office recognize the importance of
protecting the privacy of communications between incarcerated individuals and their
attorneys. Our Secure Call Platform is designed to allow correctional agencies to quickly
add attorney numbers as “private,” so calls made to these numbers will not be recorded
and cannot be monitored. In addition, all non-private calls are preceded by a verbal
notice that the call is “subject to recording and monitoring.”
