DAILY ACTIVITY REPORT EFFECTIVE DATE: 08/01/89 STANDARD NO. 026 REVISED: 01/10/18 REPLACES: SOP Daily Activity Report 04-01.1-2 – Rev. 01/01/03; Rev. 11/01/11; Rev. 09/01/17 OBJECTIVE: To provide a procedure to document the officers’ daily activity. POLICY: It is the policy of the Homestead Police Department (HPD) for sworn personnel to complete a Daily Activity Report when the CAD system is not operational. SCOPE: Sworn personnel with the exception of the Chief of Police, Captain(s), and Professional Compliance may be required to complete a Daily Activity Report when the CAD system is not operational. I. PROCEDURES: A. All personnel required to complete a Daily Activity Report will submit one (1) at the completion of their tour of duty via the chain of command. B. Daily Activity Reports will be completed for calls for service and in-house training. C. When attending court or a training course, which is outside the City of Homestead and attendance is taken, a Daily Activity Report is not needed.
