TOM DaRé , CHIEF OF POLICE Professional Standards Division NUMBER: 2022 -02 ISSUED: February 22 , 2021 2022 Blood Borne Pathogens Training The California State Legislature determined and has mandated certain training be refreshed or updated at regular intervals to maintain proficiency and certification in particular areas of an officer’s duties. Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations requires first responders to have Blood Borne Pathogen training on an annual basis . The Garden Grove Police Department has a video which pertains to this subject and satisfies this requirement. To view, put the cursor over the link, press the “Control ” key and click on the link.
