2.240.10 SUSPENSIONS
When there is any violation of the rules and regulations of the
Department and/or for the preservation of good order and
discipline, any supervisor may remove a subordinate from his or
her next assigned duty and bring the subordinate before the next
ranking supervisor on duty for temporary reassignment or suspend
from duty with pay pending formal charges and until same can be
reported to the Chief of Police for his approval and confirmation.
