11/20/25, 2:37 PM FLORIDA CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT An employee who receives an order, which he believes to be improper or unlawful, shall report in writing to the concerned supervisor via chain of command. The report shall contain the facts of the incidents and the incidents and any action taken. Appeals for relief from such orders may be made at the same time. 2.220.35????????????????????????? COUNTERMANDING ORDERS Orders will be countermanded when necessary for the good of the Department. 2.220.40????????????????????????? CONFLICTING ORDERS Upon receipt of a conflicting order or instruction, the employee shall advise of the conflict. Responsibility for countermanding the original order of instruction then rests with the individual that issues the conflicting command. If so directed, the later command shall be obeyed first.
