DIRECTIVE
TITLE: CHANGES IN POLICY EFFECTIVE DATE: JANUARY 1,
2001
WHENEVER A DEPARTMENT MEMBER DEVIATES IN ANY MANNER FROM
ANY DIRECTIVE OR SPECIAL ORDER, FOR WHATEVER REASON, THAT
CHANGE MUST BE REPORTED IN WRITING TO THE OPERATIONS
COMMANDER.
THE DEPARTMENT MEMBER MUST DESCRIBE, IN DETAIL, THE CHANGE
AND THE SITUATION THAT NECESSITATED THAT CHANGE.? THE
EXPLANATION SHOULD ALSO BE DIRECTED TO THE OPERATIONS
COMMANDER VIA THE EMPLOYEE'S CHAIN OF COMMAND.? THIS
SHOULD BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
IT IS RECOGNIZED THAT THERE ARE CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH
NECESSITATE THAT A DIRECTIVE OR ORDER BE CHANGED.? IT SHOULD
ALSO BE RECOGNIZED THAT ANY CHANGES BE REPORTED AS SOON AS
POSSIBLE.
