ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTIVE
USE OF THE HMMWV BY OUTSIDE
AGENCIES:
The use of the HMMWV by outside mutual
aid agencies for emergency purposes will be
authorized by the Chief of Police or his
designee. A qualified Florida City Police
HMMWV operator(s) shall deploy with the
HMMWV as part of the request. The
requesting agency assumes all responsibility
and liability for the proper use of the
vehicle.
HMMWV SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
The Florida City Police HMMWV is painted
and marked for tactical operations. The
HMMWV is equipped with red/blue police
lights/siren, a police radio, and a recovery
winch. The HMMWV can be used for police
operations authorized by the Chief of Police
or his designee. The HMMWV when
possible should not be used in police
pursuits.
