I. POLICY Traffic direction and control are undertaken by the department’s sworn and non-sworn members to guide and/or restrict the movement of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. This directive specifies who has authority to direct and control traffic, as well as uniforms, equipment, and methods to be used by those persons. The information within this General Order in no way supersedes or replaces the traffic control or direction as they relate to Police Pursuits. (See General Order 2210 – Vehicle Pursuits)
