I. PURPOSE:
The purpose of this order is to establish guidelines for the enforcement of the traffic laws of the State of
Florida and the Town of Davie as well as to maintain a system of accountability for all uniform traffic
citations issued to department members. It is incumbent upon all sworn officers of the Davie Police
Department to be observant of violations of traffic laws and other suspicious or unusual activity in order to
keep our citizens free from crime, our streets and highways safe to drive upon, and to detect and apprehend
criminals.
