III. SPECIFIC VIOLATIONS VI. VOIDANCE OF CITATIONS PURPOSE: The purpose of this procedure is to establish guidelines on standards of police traffic service and develop operational procedures for selective assignment of police personnel at times and locations where hazardous, congested, or appropriate enforcement conditions exist. POLICY: The responsibility of law enforcement officers is to enforce the traffic laws of the State of Florida and to detect violations of those traffic laws and resultant illegal or potentially dangerous acts. It is the policy of the Coconut Creek Police Department (CCPD) to have a traffic enforcement policy that emphasizes firm, fair, and consistent enforcement of traffic violations.
