I. GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this procedure is to establish guidelines governing the Coconut Creek Police Department (CCPD) grievance process. POLICY: It is the policy of CCPD that members are treated fairly and receive prompt responses to problems and concerns. For this reason, CCPD provides a grievance procedure to promote prompt and responsible resolution of issues raised by members. This procedure may be used freely without fear of retaliation and the City of Coconut Creek’s Human Resource & Risk Management Department is available to assist throughout the process. DEFINITIONS:
