II. TESTING PROCESS PURPOSE: The purpose of this procedure is to establish guidelines for the hiring process of police officers for the City of Coconut Creek. POLICY: It is the intent of the Coconut Creek Police Department (CCPD) and the City of Coconut Creek to maintain the highest standards in the recruitment and hiring of employees without discrimination by race, gender, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or religion. This procedure is meant to ensure a fair and equitable process for the police officer selection process. Each element of this process will be job related and non- discriminatory (9.01A). As needed and as described in this policy, a job announcement to recruit for police officer positions shall be posted. All elements of the selection process shall be administered, scored, and interpreted in a uniform manner (9.01B). Records of candidates who do not pass the testing process will be maintained by Human Resources in accordance with Florida Department of State Records Retention Schedule. PROCEDURES:
