TITLE: VEHICLE INVOLVED CRIMES ENFORCEMENT UNIT (V.I.C.E.)
PURPOSE: The purpose of this directive is to establish guidelines for the operation of
the Vehicle Involved Crimes Enforcement Unit (V.I.C.E.).
SCOPE: This directive is applicable to all sworn employees assigned to the Vehicle
Involved Crimes Enforcement Unit (V.I.C.E.).
POLICY: It is the City of Doral Police Department policy to reduce the incidence of
vehicle-related crimes through a combination of targeted enforcement, intelligence-led
policing, and community engagement strategies. The Vehicle Involved Crimes
Enforcement Unit (V.I.C.E.) is a specialized law enforcement unit dedicated to the
investigation, prevention, and enforcement of vehicle-related crimes.
The Chief of Police maintains the final authority regarding the Vehicle Involved Crimes
Enforcement Unit (V.I.C.E.) and reserves the right to change, modify or alter any criteria
established within this directive.
