Chino Police Department
Chino PD Policy Manual
CHIEF'S PREFACE
I am pleased to introduce the Lexipol Policy to the Chino Police Department. This manual provides
Chino Police employees with the most current guidelines available to law enforcement personnel
and supports our continuing effort to attain organizational excellence.
Lexipol policies are written by experienced law enforcement professionals who specialize in
defending police agencies. They understand the importance of maintaining a policy manual that
contains relevant and current information. Keeping track of changing laws, court decisions and
best practices in the public safety field is a difficult and time consuming task far beyond the
resources available to most agencies. The risk of not having current, legally sound policies simply
cannot be overstated.
This manual contains a set of comprehensive policies that have been specifically designed to
assist you with the various situations that you are likely to encounter as you carry out your duties.
It is essential that you become familiar with the valuable information contained in this manual and
use it to guide you through the complexities of modern policing.
