601 - PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE

POLICY The Aventura Police Department will ensure that all impounded property, evidence, and lost or stolen property is collected, packaged, and stored, pursuant to this General Order and Florida State Statute. Procedures have been established to ensure the safe storage and proper disposition of all property and evidence coming into the control of the Aventura Police Department. The Department will make a reasonable effort to recover lost or stolen property and to return it to the owner. CALEA 84.1.1 f II.
