I. POLICY
Our Departmental goal is to maintain professional standards of conduct for all
police employees while remaining responsive to the citizens of Aventura. The
philosophy of the Department is to utilize counseling techniques whenever
possible to train or guide employees. Imposition of discipline becomes necessary
when such counseling fails to rectify improper action or the employee is deemed
to have committed a pronounced deviation of Departmental rules, regulation,
policy, procedure, or any applicable State Statute.
