I. PURPOSE:
The purpose of this policy is to provide direction
and guidance in the proper and legal use of
Department approved conducted energy
weapons, for the purpose of controlling violent
or potentially violent subjects that resist arrest or
other lawful commands, and to prevent officer
injury in dealing with these subjects.
