Explicación Simple

El robo es cuando alguien toma o usa algo que no le pertenece con la intención de quedárselo. También incluye situaciones donde una persona engaña a otra para obtener algo que no le pertenece. Es como si alguien se llevara tu teléfono sin que lo sepas.

Es como cuando prestas un libro a un amigo y él decide quedárselo sin pedirte permiso. Aunque te lo prestó, al no devolvértelo está haciendo algo malo.

Ejemplo Práctico

Imagina que Juan trabaja en una tienda de electrónica y se queda con un televisor sin pagarlo. Aunque el televisor pertenece a la tienda, Juan cree que puede quedárselo porque piensa que puede engañar a su jefe. Eso es robo.

Penalidades

Thefts committed by the same person in different counties that have been aggregated in one county may be prosecuted in any county in which one of the thefts occurred.(e) Property or services having value that cannot be ascertained pursuant to the standards set forth above shall be deemed to be of a value not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars;(19) "Wrongfully obtains" or "exerts unauthorized control" means:(a) To take the property or services of another;(b) Having any property or services in one's possession, custody or control as bailee, factor, lessee, pledgee, renter, servant, attorney, agent, employee, trustee, executor, administrator, guardian, or officer of any person, estate, association, or corporation, or as a public officer, or person authorized by agreement or competent authority to take or hold such possession, custody, or control, to secrete, withhold, or appropriate the same to his or her own use or to the use of any person other than the true owner or person entitled thereto; or(c) Having any property or services in one's possession, custody, or control as partner, to secrete, withhold, or appropriate the same to his or her use or to the use of any person other than the true owner or person entitled thereto, where the use is unauthorized by the partnership agreement.
