Sec. 1001.351. ANNUAL RENEWAL REQUIRED. (a) The board shall Statute text rendered on: 3/7/2025 - 2004 - OCCUPATIONS CODE provide for the annual renewal of a license or registration issued under this chapter. (b) The board by rule may adopt a system under which licenses and registrations expire on various dates during the year. For the year in which the license or registration expiration date is changed, the board shall prorate license or registration fees on a monthly basis so that each license or registration holder pays only that portion of the license or registration fee that is allocable to the number of months during which the license or registration is valid. On renewal of the license or registration on the new expiration date, the total license or registration renewal fee is payable. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1421, Sec. 1, eff. June 1, 2003.
