Sec. 14.014. CONFLICT WITH TEXAS RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE. Notwithstanding Section 22.004, Government Code, this chapter may not be modified or repealed by a rule adopted by the supreme court. In this chapter: Text of subdivision as added by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 203 (S.B. 1180), Sec. 1 (1) "Civilly committed individual" means a sexually violent predator as defined by Section 841.003, Health and Safety Code, who has been committed to a facility operated by or under contract with the Texas Civil Commitment Office.
