Explicación Simple

Si trabajas cuidando a personas mayores o con alguna discapacidad y ves que alguien les hace daño o no les cuida bien, tienes que decirlo en menos de un día. Si no lo haces, podrías meterte en problemas.

Es como cuando ves a un amigo en peligro y sientes que debes decirle a un adulto. No puedes quedarte callado porque podría empeorar la situación.

Ejemplo Práctico

Imagina que Ana trabaja en un hogar para ancianos y un día ve que un residente, el Sr. Gómez, tiene moretones y parece desatendido. Ana se da cuenta que esto no está bien y, siguiendo la ley, informa al director del hogar en menos de 24 horas para que se tomen las acciones necesarias.

Penalidades

Si no se informa el abuso, se incurre en un delito menor de Clase 1.

The person in charge shall report the information in accordance with the provisions of §22-46-9.
