Explicación Simple

Cuando andas en bicicleta, debes ir por el lado derecho de la carretera, como si fuera un carril. Solo puedes salir de ese lado si necesitas adelantar a alguien o girar a la izquierda.

Es como cuando en una pista de carreras, los corredores deben estar en sus carriles. Si todos se mantienen en su lado, es más seguro y no hay choques.

Imagina a Laura montando su bicicleta por una calle de su vecindario. Ella va por el lado derecho, pero ve un auto que viene detrás de ella. Entonces, se asegura de que no hay coches de frente y se mueve un poco más a la derecha para que el auto pueda pasar sin problemas.

(1) Upon all roadways, any pedalcycle operating in accordance with Chapter 35, proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions then existing shall be driven in the right-hand lane then available for traffic, or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway, except when overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into an alley, private road or driveway. (2) This subsection does not apply to: (i) A pedalcycle using any portion of an available roadway due to unsafe surface conditions. (ii) A pedalcycle using a roadway that has a width of not more than one lane of traffic in each direction.
