Explicación Simple

Esta ley permite que algunas oficinas acepten pagos con tarjetas de crédito y débito, aunque falten documentos. Además, ciertos empleados pueden iniciar procesos legales por violaciones relacionadas con vehículos y transporte.

Es como cuando en una tienda puedes pagar con tarjeta aunque no tengas el recibo de tu compra. A veces, para hacer las cosas más rápidas, se permiten excepciones.

Imagina que Juan necesita renovar el registro de su auto. Aunque no tiene todos los documentos listos, puede pagar con su tarjeta de crédito. Luego, si un empleado del departamento ve que Juan no cumplió con las normas de registro, puede iniciar un procedimiento legal para sancionarlo.

75 Pa.C.S. 1992 - Amendment § 6116. Payment by credit or debit card. Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, the department is authorized to accept payment of a fee by a credit or debit card, even though such payment may not be accompanied by the required documents if the department determines that payment by credit or debit card will improve service to the public without adversely affecting the security and accuracy of departmental records. If a payment is made by a credit or debit card, the department may, in addition to the fee prescribed, assess an additional service fee. (Dec. 16, 1992, P.L.1250, No.166, eff. imd.) 1992 Amendment. Act 166 added section 6116. 75 Pa.C.S. 6117 - Authority Of Qualified Employees Of Department And Department Of Revenue Employees of the department, the Department of Revenue and the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission who have completed a training program approved by the respective secretaries of both departments shall be authorized to institute criminal proceedings by citation under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure for violations of the provisions of Chapters 13 (relating to registration of vehicles), 21 (relating to motor carriers road tax identification markers) and 96 (relating to motor carriers road tax).
