(b) Display of regular license.-- (1) A resident of this Commonwealth who holds a commercial driver's license issued by this Commonwealth under Chapter 16 (relating to commercial drivers) shall be permitted to display a regular driver's license issued by the department in the event that the resident's commercial driver's license is disqualified. (2) A nonresident who holds a commercial driver's license issued by a state other than this Commonwealth shall be permitted to display a regular driver's license issued by that person's state of residence in the event that the nonresident's commercial driver's license is disqualified. (3) A nonresident who holds a nonresident commercial driver's license issued by this Commonwealth under Chapter 16 shall be permitted to display a regular driver's license issued by the nonresident's country in the event that the person's nonresident commercial driver's license is disqualified. (c) Penalty.--Any person violating the provisions of this section commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $200.
